What is it ?
Communication being both the base and the objectives of our clubs,
we all agree that it should be developed and enhanced.
This is what the Crescent
is all about : an act of communication.
The founding fathers wanted a definite, structured and everlasting
action, and so chose an association of existing clubs, regulated by law ;
therefore the status have been registered at the french Prefecture of
Montpellier.
The Mediterranean Crescent
has been created by Montpellier 1904 (Club of U.K. 20th Region),
Antibes 130 (French 41 Club) et Cannes Azur n°1 (French Tangent Club).
Who can join ?
All male and female clubs (41, Round Table, Maillon, Tangent, Agora,
Ladies’Circle) sharing the values of Round Table within a 30 miles
radius from the mediterranean sea.
It is therefore an international federation of male and female clubs,
whence no individual can be member unless going through an existing club
already belonging to the Crescent.
What are the aims and goals ?

To
create and develop contacts between existing mediterranean clubs,

To
participate to the growth of these clubs around mediterranean sea,
v
To
promote any action about mediterranean culture and civilization,
v
To
develop within mediterranean boundaries any type of service action,
v
To
help any national or local club about service and/or communication in the
mediterranean area.
Where can the clubs be found !
The Mediterranean Crescent motto
« From Gibraltar to Tel Aviv, a service club dedicated to our sea »
clearly explains all the possible locations. We just hope that concerned
clubs come and join us.
How does it work ?
Every clubs names two representative members. All the representatives
are the board of governors, five members of which are elected to be the
bureau. The board has four meetings a year (September, December, March and
June), the A.G.M. being in September.
Is it not a competition with the
International ?
It is by no means a competitor to the 41 International !
Limited to the mediterranean shores and opened to male and female
alike, the Crescent is totally
different from any existing group.
On the contrary, the contacts with differents clubs will bring many
things to international clubs.
What is your first action ?
As we intend to increase contacts and meetings, we, first, set a
mediterranean friendship directory which will be updated every year and
sent to all clubs on the sea shores.
How join ?
If a club is interested, its president sends a form to the mediterranean
board, which gives its consent.
The annual fee is about 800.00 FF per club, mainly for
communications and postal expenses.
